The Prestonian small

We’re off to PRESTON for the month of March on the fourth leg of our national Pride of Place Project Tour. Parched peas will be on the menu again very soon!

Our  extra{ordinary} – Photographs of Britain by The Caravan Gallery exhibition is up and running – and looking splendid – at the Museum of Lancashire until 31st March. Join us for a free walking tour of our exhibition on Saturday 12th March from 2 – 3pm to gain an insight into the reality and surreality of contemporary Britain through the eyes of The Caravan Gallery!

You’re also welcome to join us at the launch of our Preston Pride of Place Project at 3 Friargate on Thursday 3rd March from 5 – 8 when we’ll be announcing the winners of our Preston Photography Competition. We have a fantastic venue in the town centre thanks to St Georges Shopping Centre and need your help to fill the space with all manner of Preston-related words, pictures and artifacts. The outcome will resemble an exhibition -cum-alternative visitor information centre celebrating Preston in all its multifaceted glory. A commemorative publication will follow.

Also look out for a small yellow caravan on the streets of Preston – we’re looking forward to continuing our Preston Caravan Gallery Tour  at libraries in Ribbleton, Savick and Ingol.

If you’re in Preston please come along and join in! Pride of Place Project contributions welcome – photos, paintings, prints, poems etc. – anything considered as long as it’s Preston related.

Details of all our Preston shenanigans can be found on our website:

Hope to see you soon!
