Lytham St Annes Pride of Place Project

13th July – 22nd July 2012.
The Caravan Gallery transformed an empty shop in St Annes into a temporary gallery-cum-visitor information centre as part of the Revealed arts festival programme. The festival was devised by Lancashire County Council Arts Service in partnership with Fylde Council to coincide with The Open Golf  Championship.

Along with the people of Lytham St Annes and visitors to the area we created a dynamic evolving exhibition celebrating this unique stretch of the coast. The exhibition grew day by day as visitors added their own contributions. Half the exhibition consisted of our own photos of the area and the rest was generated through participatory activities.

Lytham St Annes Publication:
A launch of the commemorative publication celebrating the Lytham Pride of Place Project took place in September 2013, alongside a conversation between Sara-Jayne Parsons, Exhibitions Curator at the Bluecoat, Liverpool and The Caravan Gallery. The publication is currently available to purchase from our online shop.
