Greetings from the land of Parched Peas!
The response to our Preston Pride of Place Project has been nothing short of positively prodigious and we’ve fallen a little bit in love with Preston and its people. There are just 3 more days to bring in your Preston-related art works and ephemera, and to make your mark on The People’s Map before our closing celebration on Thursday 31st March from 5pm. After that we’ll be documenting the entire exhibition and its contents so we can make a commemorative book about the project. We’ll be posting details on social media including the Preston Pride of Place Project Facebook group.
In other good news the Museum of Lancashire has had a temporary reprieve and is now staying open until September. We’re happy to say that our touring exhibition, extra{ordinary} Photographs of Britain by The Caravan Gallery, has now been extended until April 17th.
You can view some of the fantastic contributions to the Preston Pride of Place Project in this great post by Blog Preston.
Hope to see you in Preston, or maybe in Middlesbrough, the next stop on our national tour.
Jan and Chris xx
