TOURING EXHIBITION 2015 – 2016.
extra{ordinary}
Photographs of Britain by The Caravan Gallery.

This major exhibition by The Caravan Gallery will tour to six prestigious venues from March 2015 through to Winter 2016. The first exhibition of the tour will be hosted by NGCA (Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art), Sunderland.

Exhibition dates: 6th March 2015 to 1st May 2015.
extra{ordinary} is a national touring exhibition of over one hundred colour photographs made over the last fifteen years, that shows the extraordinary in the everyday, and is itself an extraordinary record of social change since the millennium. The exhibition will be accompanied by a full colour hardback publication.

The NGCA exhibition will be supported by an offsite participatory SUNDERLAND PRIDE OF PLACE PROJECT where we invite local people to help The Caravan Gallery create a vibrant evolving exhibition celebrating the character of Sunderland. A unique Pride of Place publication will be produced, documenting the area and including contributions by the general public. Each Pride of Place Project has its own Facebook group.

THE CARAVAN GALLERY TOUR: a mobile exhibition in the caravan will visit six different locations in the region to publicise the above activities and encourage the people of Sunderland to get involved.

Please check the Associated Events regularly (to the top right of this page) to find out more about the Exhibition Events, how to get involved with the Sunderland Pride of Place Project and where to find us during The Caravan Gallery Tour.

The Caravan Gallery hopes to see you soon at a venue near you!
