The Caravan Gallery’s Blyth Pride of Place Project is one of a series of pilot projects exploring culture across Blyth, commissioned by Northumberland County Council and delivered by PlaceCreate as part of Energising Blyth. We need your help to transform the former Shoezone shop in Keel Row Shopping Centre into a vibrant participatory exhibition celebrating Blyth and its people. The display will grow daily as items are added so please bring along anything with a Blyth connection that can be included – this could be your own arts and crafts inspired by Blyth, photos, artefacts, memorabilia and stories about the area. Make your mark on our People’s Map of Blyth, share some fascinating facts about where you live, as well as your hopes and dreams for Blyth in the future. If you fancy getting creative we’ll even help you make your own postcards and souvenirs of Blyth! See photographs of Blyth by The Caravan Gallery artists Jan Williams & Chris Teasdale, and don’t miss the opportunity to step inside The Caravan Gallery itself when it comes to town to view some {extra}ordinary photographs of Britain as you may have never have seen it before.

All exhibition contributions will be documented and loaned items returned / available to collect once the exhibition in Keel Row has closed.

Please join the Blyth Pride of Place Facebook group for updates and to share your thoughts and images.
