Artist Residency in Portobello
Greetings from Portobello, Scotland where we’re in the midst of a month long residency thanks to artist Claudia Zeiske who commissioned our Huntly Pride of Place Project in Aberdeenshire when she was director of the wonderful Deveron Projects. We timed our stay to coincide with Art Walk Projects‘s annual Art Walk Porty Festival and have busy exploring, photographing, meeting people , beachcombing and hatching plans for future projects. Northern Eye Photography Festival
We’re delighted to announce that extra{ordinary} Photographs of Britain is to be exhibited at Oriel Colwyn gallery, Colwyn Bay, North Wales at Northern Eye International Photography Festival. Launching on 3 October, the exhibition will continue until 31 December. It’s an opportune moment to look back at this body of work from 2000 – 2014 as we work on a follow up exhibition and publication. So much has changed since that time, although a lot hasn’t!

We’re made up to have work included Curly Cuts, Blows and Curlers, a fab exhibition devoted to hairstyles at the Museum of Liverpool from 3 October 2025 – 8 March 2026.
